CFMC harnesses community assets to support local solutions and build community strengths by providing philanthropic opportunities for individuals and businesses in Merced County.
Since our founding in 20XX, the Foundation has given over $3 million in grants and scholarships to benefit residents and non-profits throughout Merced County. We achieve this through a variety of funds:

Support Merced by contributing to the endowment. Contributions, large and small, support community organizations and projects to address community needs.
Donor Advised Funds
DAFs empower supporters and provide flexibility for individuals, families, and organzations to direct donations to causes they care about most.
Scholarship Fund
Support our most important asset—the youth of Merced County—and help provide high school students with support for direct educational expenses.

Our philosophy.
CFMC believes that whole county transformation can occur through strategic philanthropic activity. Merced, like other rural communities, is a place where funders can achieve deeper, lasting, transformative community impact with fewer dollars.

CFMC sees itself playing a role to benefit Merced county beyond stewarding resources and grant making to include capacity building and the development of strategic partnerships. CFMC has a vision of learning from and working directly with entire communities in Merced County to develop new ideas that catalyze change and can be replicated countywide.
CFMC is a devoted advocate to the vitality and well-being of everyone in the Merced County. Our goal is full and equal access to opportunities, power and resources for everyone—especially communities of color, as well as under-resourced communities.
